Odor Elimination
Odor elimination is complicated and multifaceted.
- First the source of the odor must be identified, contained and removed. This includes mold, dead animals, spills, smoke and the like.
- Then the residual odors must be dealt with to restore an odor free environment. Depending on the size, severity and type of odor contamination dictates the method of odor contamination removal.
We use Ozone Purifiers (Living Air) for basic odor neutralization. For more intense odors the Electric Hot Fogger(Electro Gen) is probably more appropriate along with a deep carpet cleaning. The Hand Held Fogger (B & G Fogger) is used to atomize EPA-registered antimicrobial chemicals to sanitize and disinfect air ducts. This equipment is most helpful in controlling orders along with other methods (Air Duct Cleaning, Carpet Cleaning and Upholstery Cleaning) especially for:
- General Smoke
- Cigarette Smoke
- General Animal Smells
When spills and urine penetrate both the carpet and pad the Water Claw Spot Lifter along with cleaning agents are more appropriate for the removal of odors in specific areas.
Remember, your carpet is a filter system. It traps odors and contaminants by design. A good deep carpet cleaning will go along way in eliminating undesired odors. Your furnace and central air system should also be cleaned and filters changed regularly to eliminate odors. We clean carpets and central air systems. Odor elimination can not be 100% guaranteed. Sometimes it just boils down to new paint, new carpeting and a thorough cleaning of the building.
